The Cooperator Expo 2016 One Stop for Education, Expertise, and New Ideas

The Cooperator Expo 2016

Co-op and condo board members, apartment building owners and managers register now for the The Cooperator’s Expo on Wednedsday, April 13, 2016 (coopexpo.com) a one-day free trade show being held at New York Hilton Midtown from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring over 300 exhibitors from throughout the New York metro area, free seminars and free advice booths.

This is a prime opportunity to meet with professionals from every corner of the co-op, condo and apartment management industry, as well as network with your fellow board members, attend educational seminars, and win valuable prizes just for attending. Registration for FREE admission to this one-of-a-kind event can be made online at coopexpo.com.

Under One Roof

The exhibitors at this year’s Expo include property managers, exterior maintenance contractors, environmental and energy consultant companies, attorneys, accounting, insurance and financial advisors, landscapers and painting and renovation contractors, just to name a few. All will have representatives on hand to answer questions, distribute information, and offer advice to attendees throughout the day. It’s time to put down the phone and log off the Web—and come to the Expo to meet prospective vendors face-to-face, all in one day at one convenient location.

Educational Seminars

Along with the assembled industry professionals, The Cooperator will offer building administrators, board members and management professionals the rare opportunity to enrich their core knowledge of the industry with a roster of information-packed educational seminars.

Co-op and condo seminar presenters include: Steve Geller, Avi Geller and Nicoletta Pagnotta of Meridian Capital Group, who will speak on underlying mortgages and financing for capital improvements; Andrew Perdek of Verizon Enhanced Communities, who will cover ‘How the Internet of Things’ Will Impact Your Co-op or Condo; NYSERDA’s Dr. Dana Levy, who will talk about saving energy by using a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) or co-generation system; Margie Russell and a panel of experts, who will give advice on how boards can “Maximize Dual Fuel Equipment Capabilities” in their buildings and calculate payback times for heating fuel conversions; and YARDI Systems’ Tyler Clemens, who will go over mobility tools and deploying an effective mobile strategy in your building community.

Two seminars for apartment building owners and managers are scheduled with a prominent panel of experts on hand. The first one will explore the warranty of habitability and what it means for renters and landlords, and the second will look at changing market demographics of who’s renting multifamily properties.

Other Highlights

One of the day’s major attractions are the giveaways. Attendance at the Expo is required for eligibility. For complete details on prizes and other promotions, visit the Expo website at coopexpo.com/conditions.

Also don’t forget about the Free Advice booths. If you have questions about your co-op board or association’s finances, policies, or day-to-day management, you can stop by one of the booths for answers from leading legal, management, maintenance and financial professionals.
