As they have for nearly two decades, crowds of managers, board members, co-op/condo residents, building owners, and multifamily service providers of all stripes converged on New York Hilton Midtown on April 11th for the spring edition of The Cooperator Expo New York. Reinforcing its status as the largest trade event of its kind in the region, the Expo drew thousands of visitors eager to take full advantage of the roster of educational seminars, hundreds of exhibitors, free advice booths, and one-on-one interactions with colleagues and peers. 

"It's always gratifying to see the level of commitment and engagement our attendees have for their buildings and communities," says Yale Robbins, president of Yale Robbins Inc., and publisher of The Cooperator. "Year after year, both veteran and newly-elected board members use the Expo as a resource to help them serve their buildings better – and we're proud to provide tools to facilitate that." 

Henry Robbins, YRInc,'s vice president and director of sales, adds that the Expo is a unique opportunity for service providers to get invaluable face-time with the very people who make spending decisions on behalf of their communities. There's nothing else quite like it." 

While some Expo attendees beelined straight for the seminar rooms to take notes on everything from maximizing collection of maintenance and common charges to navigating the homesharing economy, others browsed the aisles, where over 300 vendors were on hand to field questions, demonstrate new products, and share their expertise. Raffles and door prizes were given away, advice booths were busy, and by the time the doors closed at the end of the day, attendees and exhibitors agreed that it had been another terrific event.
