APPointMents &   Transitions  Public Finance Attorney Charles Treece   Returns to Ballard Spahr from Fannie Mae  Citing a statement released Septem-  ber 25 by the law fi rm Ballard Spahr LLP,   Law360.com announces the return of public   fi nance attorney Charles Treece to the fi rm’s   public fi nance group. Aft er four and a half   years with the fi rm, Treece hopped over to   Fannie Mae, representing the lending giant   in its purchases of loans that were refi nanc-  ing multifamily housing, with a particular   focus on aff ordable multifamily housing,   according to Law360. Two years later, he’s   back with Ballard Spahr to have “the oppor-  tunity to work on a broader range of trans-  actions,” per the outlet.   Treece’s co-workers are pleased to have   him back, citing his experience with low-in-  come tax credits and aff ordable multifamily   housing development. Emilie R. Ninan, co-  chair of the fi rm’s fi nance department and   practice leader of the public fi nance group,   said in the fi rm’s statement that “adding   Chuck  to  our D.C.  offi  ce  strengthens  our   already-impressive bench of exceptional fi -  nance lawyers.”  Law360 notes  that Treece  received his   law degree from American University and   is admitted to practice in New York and   Washington, D.C.  Rick Bier Joins Romer Debbas as Real   Estate and Land-Use Partner   According to Law360.com, Romer Deb-  bas LLP has hired a real estate and land-use   partner for its offi  ce in New York. Rick Bier   joins the fi rm and brings to Romer Debbas   experience with real estate purchase and   sale, fi nancing and development matters.
